Synopsis

The first sex-reassigned transsexual in Cuba questions the patriarchal and male chauvinist stereotypes of women in which she has become trapped.

Marilyn Solaya - Cuba

Marilyn Solaya has a degree in audiovisual communication media arts, with a specialization in directing and theatre directing, from the National Art School. She has written and directed several short fiction pieces and documentaries. Her project Vestido de Novia was awarded a prize by CINERGIA, Costa Rica, she took part in the "Plume & Pellicule” International Script Workshop, DREAMAGO, Switzerland, and at the 1st Latin American Script Workshop at the Habana Film Festival.
